What are the Mullets going to do in Australia?

This is a question that many people have asked us. Our job descriptions say: "Scripture Use Specialist" and "Literacy Technician". This are two terms that may make people say, "Okay...What?"

Scripture Use: helping to make God's Word accessible to people and available is part of Scripture Use.
What Does This Look Like?: This can take the form of helping to develop a distribution plan for the Bible, putting the Bible on CD, helping develop Bible curriculums for youth groups or adults... Basically, helping people to integrate the Scripture into their everyday lives.

Literacy: Helping people learn to read in their own language. This necessitates us learning Australian Kriol in order to help them! :)

In the Beginning.... When we first arrive in Australia, our jobs will be to get used to the new culture we will be living in and adjust to the new surroundings and people. We will also be learning the language and begin building relationships with the people who we will be working with for several years.
